LeBron James Sends 3-Word Message to Draymond Green Amid NBA Season

Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James and Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green.

Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green didn’t play in the team’s previous game against the Miami Heat due to an illness. However, that didn’t stop the Dubs from honoring his latest achievement with the franchise.

This 2025-26 season, Green has already recorded 12 blocks, allowing him to breach the 900-block mark in his career. According to the Warriors, the 35-year-old forward is only the second player in franchise history to achieve the feat.

While Green’s stats don’t stand out, there’s no denying that he’s one of the most impactful players in the history of the franchise. He has the accolades to show for that, boasting four NBA championships, four All-Star appearances, nine All-Defensive Team selections and a Defensive Player of the Year award.

After the Warriors honored Green’s career milestone, Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James saw the post and made sure to congratulate his former rival-turned-good friend as well.

“Congrats my brother!!!” James wrote on his Instagram Stories, while tagging the Warriors star.

Green, for his part, showed his appreciation for James on his IG Stories as well, reposting the Lakers veteran’s post and writing, “Appreciate you my brother.”

Green and James have had plenty of battles over the years. Who could ever forget the 2016 NBA Finals when Green hit LeBron in the groin area.

Sure enough, the two have come a long way from that, developing a strong friendship that extends beyond the basketball court.

It will definitely be interesting to see Green and James match up again in the NBA. The Lakers star recently made his season debut after missing the start of the season due to sciatica. He wasn’t able to play in the opener against the Dubs, but the two teams have three more scheduled games this campaign.
