Cristiano Ronaldo Has Words for Donald Trump After Meeting

U.S. President Donald Trump

Cristiano Ronaldo made headlines on Wednesday, but not with his play on the field but rather due to what he did off it.

Ronaldo is currently playing for Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League. In eight starts so far this 2025-26 season, he has already recorded nine goals on 20 shots on target. He has also assisted on one goal for Al-Nassr, who currently leads the league with a flawless 8-0 record.

This week, amid the Saudi Pro League break, Ronaldo took some time away from the field to visit the White House. The official Instagram account of the White House even shared a video of the former Real Madrid star walking alongside U.S. President Donald rump.

Ronaldo, for his part, sent a message to Trump following their meeting. He shared several photos from his trip to the White House, showing himself, his fiancée Georgina Rodriguez and Trump.

“Thank you Mr. President for your invitation and for the warm welcome you and the First Lady gave me and my future wife, @georginagio,” Ronaldo wrote in the caption of his post. “Each of us has something meaningful to give, and I stand ready to do my part as we inspire new generations to build a future defined by courage, responsibility and lasting peace.”

It’s worth noting that Ronaldo also attended a black-tie dinner that the White House hosted to welcome Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The event was attended by other high-profile personalities such as Elon Musk and Tim Cook.
