Chicago Sky Star Angel Reese Shares Off-Court News

Chicago Sky star Angel Reese continues to make an impact on the basketball court and beyond it.

Reese has been a dominant force in the WNBA ever since arriving in the pros as the Sky’s seventh overall pick in the 2024 draft. She has averaged 14.1 points, 12.9 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.4 steals in her two seasons so far, becoming a two-time All-Star in the process.

The former LSU forward has also set plenty of WNBA records in just two years, including the longest double-double streak with 15 — surpassing Candace Parker’s previous mark of 12.

The 23-year-old has certainly established herself as a role model to many young athletes. Beyond that, though, she has also been a great example when it comes to building a personal brand off the court.

Reese also works as a podcast host and entrepreneur, while trying her hand in fashion and entertainment. Sher recently walked in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show runway and had a cameo in the Netflix film “A House of Dynamite.”

The Sky player also uses her platform for good, with “The Angel C. Reese Foundation” undertaking several initiatives to “ensure equal opportunities for all girls in sports, education, financial literacy and other areas.”

Before Thanksgiving, Reese’s foundation also made sure to give back to the community with a gift for Baltimore.

“Baltimore, we’re home. Today we pulled up to Katherine Johnson Global Academy with grocery gift cards for 100 families — just in time for Thanksgiving. Supporting the city that raised Angel will always be personal. Grateful to show love, grateful to give back,” the foundation wrote on X.

Reese’s mom also shared on social media that the state of Illinois was also getting a “blessing” from the foundation.

Reese is from Baltimore and she’s currently playing for a Sky team based in Illinois, so both places are close to her.

It remains to be seen what else Reese has in store for both Baltimore and Chicago, but clearly, she’s not forgetting to give back and take care of the cities and the people that helped shape her and continue to support her.
