Cowboys QB Dak Prescott Sends Powerful Message After Beating Chiefs

Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott.

The Dallas Cowboys are on a roll. They have won three straight games, including back-to-back wins against last year’s Super Bowl contenders, the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs.

On Thursday, during their Thanksgiving showdown, Dak Prescott and company took down Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs 31-28. While Mahomes had four touchdowns, Kansas City simply couldn’t overcome their offensive miscues and the multiple holding and pass interference violations.

The Cowboys improved to 6-5-1 with the win, putting them at second in the NFC East. They are also now ninth in the NFC playoff race, just on the outside looking in but still with a fighting chance for a postseason berth.

Amid the success the team is having, Prescott made sure to give credit where it is due. Following their victory over the Chiefs, the Cowboys QB talked about head coach Brian Schottenheimer and heaped plenty of praise on him.

Schottenheimer, who is in his first year as head coach of the Cowboys, got a massive vote of confidence from the star signal-caller.

“He’s a hell of a leader,” Prescott said of Schottenheimer, per Jon Machota of The Athletic. “He’s the right guy for the job. We’re all following him.”

The Cowboys still have a lot of work to do in order to make the playoffs. They have five more games left, with upcoming games against the Detroit Lions and Los Angeles Chargers.

As Prescott said, though, what Schottenheimer has done for the team has significantly increased the team’s morale and their belief in him.
