Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones Puts NFL on Notice With ‘Problematic’ Message About CeeDee Lamb, George Pickens

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb

The Dallas Cowboys appear to have finally found their stride, having won their last three games — including victories against last year’s Super Bowl contenders, the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Amid their winning run, wide receivers CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens have both been equally impressive. While Lamb had some crucial drops in their showdown with the Eagles, he still tallied 16 receptions for 253 yards and two touchdowns in their past three games.

Meanwhile, Pickens also had two touchdowns in the same span, along with 24 receptions for 378 yards.

The two have allowed quarterback Dak Prescott to thrive even more and have helped Dallas establish the best passing offense and total offense in the NFL.

Lamb and Pickens are capable of being the No. 1 wide receiver on any team, and they are both with the Cowboys. While some might see that as a problem when thinking about ball distribution, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones couldn’t ignore the positive.

As Jones told 105.3 The Fan on Friday, having Lamb and Pickens makes the Cowboys really dangerous — and that’s a problem not to them, but to the rest of the NFL.

“Boy, we got two No. 1s. And that really is problematic (for opposing defenses),” Jones said, per Jon Machota of The Athletic.

The Cowboys are now 6-5-1 on the season amid their latest streak, and they are still well in contention for a postseason spot. At No. 9 in the NFC with five games left to play, though, Dallas doesn’t have much room for error if it wants to qualify for the playoffs.

That being said, Lamb and Pickens’ consistent play will be crucial for the Cowboys in their postseason bid.

Dallas will play the Detroit Lions next before facing the Minnesota Vikings, Los Angeles Chargers, Washington Commanders and New York Giants.
