Saquon Barkley Answers If Eagles Need to Make a Change After Loss to Bears

Philadelphia Eagles RB Saquon Barkley

The Philadelphia Eagles lost their second straight game, this time bowing to the Chicago Bears, 24-15, in Week 13. The team previously suffered an ugly defeat at the hands of the Dallas Cowboys in Week 12.

As a result, the Eagles dropped to 8-4 on the season and to No. 3 in the NFC standings, with the Bears overtaking them. They still remain atop the NFC East, but they can’t be complacent with the 6-5-1 Cowboys winning three straight and closing in on them.

Offense has been the Eagles’ biggest problem, as they rank 24th in total offense in the NFL. That was evident against the Bears, where their rushing attack — which was supposed to be dangerous with Saquon Barkley leading the way — failed to score a touchdown.

Amid their struggles, there have been calls for the Eagles to fire offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo. Many have also been demanding head coach Nick Sirianni to take drastic measures amid their bid to contend for the Super Bowl again.

In Barkley’s opinion, however, the Eagles do not need to take any major action.

“I don’t think something big needs to change,” Barkley said of the Eagles’ situation, per ESPN. “The sky is falling outside the locker room, we understand that, but I have nothing but the utmost confidence in the men in this locker room, that’s coaches included, and it’s going to take all of us.”

While Barkley remains confident about the Eagles, the fact remains that they need to find a solution quickly amid a crucial stretch of the season.

The Eagles have a tough schedule remaining, as they face the Los Angeles Chargers and Buffalo Bills in two of their last five games.
