“The Guys Are Pissed Off”: Dak Prescott Speaks Out After Cowboys Loss

Dallas Cowboys star Dak Prescott looks on during a game.

The Dallas Cowboys lost to the Detroit Lions in their “Thursday Night Football” showdown, putting an end to what was an incredible three-game winning streak.

After beating the Las Vegas Raiders, Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs, there were high hopes that the Cowboys would be able to extend their winning run and improve their chances of making the playoffs. Unfortunately, the Lions’ offense led by Jared Goff and Jahmyr Gibbs was too much for them.

Gibbs, in particular, was sensational with 43 rushing yards and three touchdowns on the ground. He also recorded seven catches for 77 yards, as the Lions took a 44-30 victory.

For his part, Jared Goff threw for 309 yards and one touchdown, while completing 25 of his 34 passes.

Prescott, who recorded 376 yards and one touchdown with two interceptions, told reporters postgame how frustrated and angry they were with their performance and the result of the game. However, he emphasized that they are not letting it discourage them.

“The guys are pissed off right now. I don’t think this is any deflated moment like our hands are up, we’re done,” Prescott stated, according to Jon Machota of The Athletic. “No. Absolutely not. I think you’re gonna get a team that’s pissed. I hope it pisses people off the right way and we use it as fuel.”

The Cowboys have every reason to be angry, especially since the loss dropped them to 6-6-1 on the season. Their already slim playoff chances became even worse with the defeat, and they now have to win in their remaining games if they want a chance at competing for a postseason spot.

The Cowboys play the Minnesota Vikings, Los Angeles Chargers, Washington Commanders and New York Giants in their final four games of the campaign.
