Luka Doncic Reacts to What LeBron James Did With Lakers Against Kings

Los Angeles Lakers stars Luka Doncic and LeBron James.

LeBron James keeps finding new ways to amaze the basketball world, even in his 23rd NBA season.

The Los Angeles Lakers star put together another efficient outing on Sunday night against the Sacramento Kings, missing just two shots in a 125-101 blowout win. James shot 11-of-13 from the field for 24 points, adding three rebounds, five assists, two steals and only two turnovers in the dominant performance.

The showing quickly caught the attention of players around the league, including his Lakers teammate Luka Doncic.

“Only 2 shots missed? That’s insane,” Doncic said in reaction to James’ performance.

Doncic was equally impressive in the game, leading the Lakers in scoring with 34 points, along with five rebounds, seven assists, three steals and one block. Still, what James did was definitely noteworthy, especially considering his age.

LeBron James Proves Father Time Has Yet to Catch Up

At 40 years old and just days away from turning 41, James continues to produce at a level rarely seen from players this deep into their careers. Through the season so far, he’s averaging 20.5 points, 4.9 rebounds, 6.7 assists and 1.0 steal per game while shooting an efficient 50.7% from the field.

After the win, James was asked about continuing to push himself despite his age. He went on to say that he continues to fight against “Father Time,” but he believes he’s “kicking his ass on the backend.”

Whether James can sustain this level throughout the year remains to be seen. But nights like this, and reactions like Doncic’s, make one thing clear: Father Time still hasn’t fully caught up to James.
