Jordan Love’s wife, Ronika Stone, has called it a day in her volleyball career. Stone took to Instagram to share highlights of her memories throughout the years. It was an emotional moment for the Green Bay Packers’ Quarterback’s wife, but it’s a decision that Stone took after a decade and a half.
Stone broke the hearts of many fans after her announcement. It came as a shock to many, but she has an outstanding career to reflect upon. Stone shared an emotional message along with her video.
“In 2010, I nervously stepped into a volleyball tryout, not knowing this sport would change my life forever. And now, 16 years later, here I am saying goodbye,” Stone wrote.
She talked about the amazing friends and relationships she built on their court. It was a long, challenging, and joyful journey for Ronika Stone.
“I don’t even know how to sum it all up.. Volleyball introduced me to my best friends, amazing coaches, and the most beautiful places. I learned the most about myself on that court. I grew up there. So many ups and downs. Laughs and tears. Moments where I felt like I hit rock bottom and others where I felt on top of the world,” Ronika Stone wrote.
Jordan Love Reacts To Ronika Stone’s Retirement
Love and his wife are expecting their first baby. The duo shared the news at the start of this year on social media. Ronika Stone confirmed that the baby will be a girl. Love dropped a reaction to his wife’s retirement news.
“Always my goat (Heart Hands Emoji),” Love responded to his wife’s post.
Jordan Love and his wife will have plenty of time to spend with each other this offseason. Meanwhile, Love is continuing to work with his foundation by giving back to the community. Love wants to support the youth and inspire positive change.
Recently, the QB provided close to 2,000 cleats for young athletes. He worked with youth sports organizations and local schools. Love’s goal is to provide gear to help the youth play safely and confidently. Love stated that his foundation was inspired by his father.
“Hands of Love Foundation was inspired really by my father and mental health issues. The many lessons, the friendships, bonds and everything I learned playing sports. I love trying to get youth involved in sports and the great things they learn,” Jordan Love said.
Love continues to inspire young athletes, and soon he will be able to inspire his daughter.
