Cam Newton often finds a way to be in the headlines. While sometimes it’s good news, on many occasions, he’s been called out. The former wide receiver never hesitates to call out players or celebrities. However, this time he took a shot at women’s values.
Newton shared his thoughts on women having children with multiple fathers. During his podcast, Newton was asked if a woman’s value gets lowered if they has multiple children with multiple men.
Cam Newton answered yes, agreeing with the question and also elaborating on one of his partners.
“I just think that the reality of that answer is that women’s value gets lowered the more children that they have. I was having this conversation with one of the mothers of my children and she’s still fine. Like, I was telling her, ‘The guy that you’re dating or will date, if he ain’t willing to love on these five children that you have he ain’t the guy for you,” Newton said.
Cam Newton continued to discuss the issue, stating that things work differently in such situations.
“Because when I came into your life, I was willing to accept you and whatever you had and there’s guys that’s out there that’s going to say, ‘Them ain’t my kids. I want you.’ Well, that ain’t how that works. But that’s not to say you can’t find nobody. I’m pretty sure she has somebody,” Cam Newton continued.
Robert Griffin III Slams Cam Newton On His Latest Comment
Robert Griffin III was asked about Cam Newton’s latest comment, and he never hesitated to slam the former player. Griffin mentioned Newton has to stop talking about women’s value.
“You have to stop talking about women’s value as if it’s like a stock. I think a woman’s value isn’t a number. It’s about their character, sacrifice, love, commitment. That to me is where a women’s value comes in. Not from body counts or baby counts. To me, a mother doesn’t lose value. A man loses value when he can’t respect the women who are raising the future,” Robert Griffin III said.
Those words coming from Cam Newton could be surprising to many, especially since he has nine children with three different partners. It’s natural for Newton to receive criticism for his words.
