Chloe Kim is having a great run at the Milan Winter Olympics after winning a silver medal in Women’s halfpipe. However, that’s not the only reason why she went viral. Kim was caught off guard by an image of her engagement that spread like wildfire. Whether it’s real or not was a puzzle for many fans.

The image showed her boyfriend Myles Garrett proposing to her in Milan while bending the knee on the snow. Chloe Kim, who was the guest at the Jimmy Kimmel Show on Feb 26, put everything to rest.

Kimmel asked Kim about the viral image to which she gave a straight up answer saying it’s fake.

“Don’t fall for it guys. It’s not real,” Chloe Kim said.

She further elaborated on the image and pointed out to the fake image.

“Can we point somethings out real quick. It would be hard for you guys to see it in the audience. One, I already have a ring on this finger. Two, he’s wearing sunglasses. I don’t want my man to propose to me with sunglasses on,” Kim said.

The audience burst out into laughter when Kim commented on the sunglasses. Kimmel was in disbelief as he was is shock how real the image looked.

Kimmell asked Kim how she learned about the image. The snowboarder said she first heard the news by Lindsey Vonn. It turns out that Vonn saw the image online and dropped a message to Kim.

“I hope she doesn’t get mad at me for sharing this,” Chloe began, “but she texts me. She’s like, ‘Oh my gosh, congrats. And I’m like, ‘Oh, thank you, but you already congratulated me for my medal. So, thanks again.’ She’s like, ‘On the engagement.’ I’m like, ‘What?’”

The two-time Olympic Gold medalist googled “Chloe Kim Engagement” and she saw the fake viral image for the first time. Kim also received a call from her mother about the engagement.

“My mom calls me and she’s like, ‘Oh my gosh, Chloe, I saw that AI picture of you getting proposed to,’” she recalled. “She was like, ‘You would never wear something like that.’”

Chloie Kim said getting engaged is a beautiful thing if it’s with the right person.
