You didn’t see me in the pool doing therapy at 9:30pm,” Lindsay Vonn wrote.

Lindsey Vonn’s Absence Pushes Germany’s Emma Aicher Further
Vonn’s absence from the Winter Olympics seems to be working in favor for her opponents. Germany’s Emma Aicher climbed the ladder and reduced the gap between Vonn. Aicher gained ground with 306 points. She’s now 94 points behind Lindsey Vonn.
The odds seem to be in Aicher’s favor since she has three races left on her campaign. Most importantly, she doesn’t have Lindsey Vonn to compete with. The season-ending World Cup finals will take place in Kvitfjell, Norway.
When Aicher was asked about winning the title. She dropped a blunt answer stating it will only be important if she wins it all.
“I’m not going to think about that at all,” Aicher said. “Because it will only be important after the final race.”
Lindsey Vonn has clearly paved the way for her opponents after her horrific injury. Fans are cheering for Vonn to have a quick recovery. However, it’s going to take a while, but the good news is that she has progressed well.
