Anthony Joshua let his fists do the talking in the ring, and his words do the flexing afterward.
Following his emphatic knockout win over Jake Paul in their pro fight that was streamed on Netflix, the former heavyweight champion took to X with a short but ice-cold message.
Sharing a video of the finishing blow, Joshua simply wrote: “Netflix and chill.”
The post immediately went viral, gaining nearly 10 million views in a little over 24 hours, with fans praising the British boxer for delivering both a highlight-reel knockout and a perfectly timed one-liner.
Joshua’s message came after he stopped Paul in the sixth round of their professional bout, a fight that was more one-sided than the final round count suggested. Paul relied heavily on movement and caution early on, clearly aware of Joshua’s power and knockout pedigree. Entering the fight with a 28-4 record and 25 knockouts, AJ was always going to be dangerous if he found an opening.
That opening finally came with Paul backed into a corner. Joshua spotted his opponent with his guard down and connected a powerful right hand to the chin of the YouTuber-turned-boxer that ended the contest instantly. The knockout was so forceful that Paul said after the fight that he suffered a broken jaw.
Photo of Anthony Joshua’s KO Punch on Jake Paul Was Perfect
The moment looked even more dramatic in an image shared by ESPN Ringside, which captured Paul’s head snapping to the side at the exact instant Joshua’s punch landed. Fans quickly reacted across social media, calling the photo “brutal,” “hard” and “impressive,” with many agreeing it was one of the most striking boxing images in recent memory.
Statistically, the gap between the two fighters was just as clear. According to Yahoo Sports, Paul landed only 16 of the 56 punches he threw, while Joshua connected on 48 of 154, steadily wearing him down before delivering the decisive blow.
With the win, Joshua improved his professional record to 29-4, including 26 knockouts. Paul, meanwhile, fell to 12–2, with his other loss coming against Tommy Fury by split decision.
While the knockout itself was unforgettable, Joshua’s post-fight message may have been the final punch. It was a short, viral reminder of just how comfortable he was with the outcome.
